I have certainly enjoyed sharing TREASURES with all the children this year, and I am looking forward to collecting all of their handouts and observing the work of each child. You have all of the handouts for the 2007-2008 school year, and there are no more handouts for this month. Each child has certainly blessed my life as I have presented Treasures each month. I would like to say a special thank you to all the mothers who have allowed your child and/or children to participate. During the month of March, we will learn more about all 43 United States Presidents, from George Washington through George W. Bush. Below is a table of what we have studied this year, along with a list of suggestions for the projects due in May. Please remember to bring all of your handouts with you to class this month.

(Sept) Nifty Fifty TREASURES We studied the 50 United States and their capitals and United States Presidents using silly putty, cars, trucks, and airplanes.

(Oct) Nifty Fifty TREASURES We studied the 50 United States and their capitals and United States Presidents using silly putty, cars, trucks, and airplanes.

(Nov) Western TREASURES We studied the Eastern Hemisphere and its countries and United States Presidents using silly putty, cars, trucks, and airplanes.

(Dec) American Colony TREASURES No TREASURES Due To Christmas Activities

(Jan) Eastern TREASURES We studied the early American Colonists and the Thirteen Original Colonies using livestock.

(Feb) Basic Geograpby TREASURES We studied the Western Hemisphere and its countries and United States Presidents using silly putty, cars, trucks, and airplanes.

(March) TREASURES Champion We studied all of the 43 United States Presidents.

(May) TREASURES Project Participation Each child enters a project and receives a trophy and a certificate of participation.

Below are suggestions for the projects or design your own.
(1) A child’s drawing of the seven continents and four oceans along with one fact about each continent and ocean.
(2) A child’s drawing of the Thirteen Original Colonies and one fact about each colony.
(3) A child’s drawing of the United States of America and one fact about each state.
(4) A Lincoln log cabin like the log cabins of the early American pioneers.
(5) A child’s display of the Solar System.
(6) A project which includes all 43 Presidents of the United States of America.

Join us WEDNESDAY, October 22, 2014 for a field trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium for a self-guided tour. The Admission prices are $20.00 per student.

All students with Truth and Freedom Academy will be required to stay with our group as we drive and throughout the field trip. The tour includes both "River Journey" and "Ocean Journey" buildings.

Our 2014 Graduation Commencement Ceremony will be held at the Hartselle Civic Center. Our Commencement Ceremony will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2014. All graduating Seniors should arrive at 6:45 p.m. We are looking forward to a special evening for our 2014 Graduates, their families, and their guests.

We will have our last meetings for this school year at the Creative Learning Connection in Madison on Thursday, April 12, 2007 from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m., and at the Northside Church of Christ in Hanceville on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

We will have a brief presentation, and then Certificates and Trophies will be awarded to each child. All the children have worked really hard this year participating during class meetings, completing the handouts, and preparing such wonderful and interesting projects. Each child has certainly blessed my life as I have presented Treasures each month. I want to express my sincere thanks to all the mothers and all the grandparents who have faithfully brought their children to TREASURES this year.

We will have refreshments after our presentation. During this time, please feel free to walk around and observe all the great projects and the completed handouts prepared by each child.
